Definition of false or misleading representation( 2 ) For the functions of this area, false or misleading representation consists of( a) any representation in which expressions, words, figures, representations or symbols are used, arranged or displayed in a manner that might reasonably be considered as qualifying the stated net quantity of a packaged item or as most likely to trick a customer with regard to the net quantity of a prepackaged item;( b) any expression, word, figure, representation or sign that indicates or may reasonably be regarded as implying that a prepackaged item contains any matter not consisted of in it or does not include any matter in reality included in it; and( c) any description or illustration of the type, quality, performance, function, origin or approach of manufacture or production of a packaged item that might fairly be considered as likely to trick a consumer with respect to the matter so explained or shown.

Limited note: Label consisting of declaration of net quantity Each label containing a statement of net amount of the packaged item to which it is applied shall( a) be applied to the prepackaged product in such kind and manner as might be recommended; and( b) program, in such type and manner and in such scenarios as may be recommended,( i) the identity and principal place of company of the person by or for whom the prepackaged product was produced or produced for resale,( ii) the identity of the prepackaged item in terms of its common or generic name or in regards to its function, and( iii) such information respecting the nature, quality, age, size, product content, composition, geographical origin, efficiency, usage or technique of manufacture or production of the packaged item as may be prescribed.
Marginal note: Recommendations for establishing product packaging requirements( 2 ) For the purpose of establishing product packaging requirements for any packaged item or class of packaged product, the Minister shall seek the advice of at least one company in Canada of customers and one organization of dealers because prepackaged item or class of prepackaged product and may look for the advice of the Standards Council of Canada or any organization in Canada participated in requirements formula (commercial packaging law).
Limited note: Assessment( 2 ) The Minister may, in conducting any research study or research studies pursuant to subsection (1 ), speak with or seek the suggestions of any department or agency of any federal government, any dealers or any company of dealerships or any organization in Canada of customers – commercial packaging. Marginal note: Certificate to be produced ( 1 ) An inspector will be provided with a certificate of his designation as an inspector and on getting in any location explained in subsection (2) shall, if so required, produce the certificate to the individual in charge of that place.
