Accommodations

Rooms have been set aside for conference attendees at two hotels: the Williamsburg Lodge, the conference venue, and the Williamsburg Woodlands Hotel & Suites, located adjacent to the Colonial Williamsburg Visitor Center on the north side of the Historic Area. Daily bus service connects the Visitor Center with the Historic Area, including the Williamsburg Lodge, from 9:00 am to 10:00 pm. During the conference, direct bus service will run between the Williamsburg Woodlands Hotels & Suites and the Williamsburg Lodge from 8:00 to 9:00 am daily so that participants can get to the conference venue easily in the morning.

In order to receive the conference room rate at either of the hotels, participants will need to make their reservations by accessing the hotel reservations page through this web site. The hotel reservation system will open on November 21, 2008 and will be linked to this page. Participants will also have the option of going directly into the hotel reservation system when registering for the conference. There are a limited number of rooms available at each rate so participants are encouraged to book their reservation early; these rates can only be guaranteed for these blocks of rooms. Rates are guaranteed through February 2, 2009 or until the block is filled. These rates also apply three days before and three days after the conference for participants who wish to extend their visit to Williamsburg.

Upon making a reservation, you will be charged a deposit equivalent to a single night’s stay. However, in the event that your plans change, you may cancel the reservation up to 72 hours prior to your arrival and this deposit will be refunded to you.

Conference participants traveling from abroad will be required to provide the address of their accommodations in the United States upon entering the country. It is recommended that you bring your hotel confirmation or a printout of this page for a smoother entry to the U.S. For further information for international travelers visiting the United States, please visit the Conference’s web page on Traveling to the United States or the U.S. State Department web site.
